Lolita sizing can vary by brand, cut, fabric, shirring, and the intended silhouette. Please always check the product-specific size chart first. This guide helps you read Loliroom size charts more confidently before ordering.

Check What the Chart Measures

Body measurements: compare your own measurements with the body-size range stated for the product.
Garment measurements: these describe the clothing. Compare with a similar piece that fits you well, using the same measuring method. If comparing with your body, follow that product’s guidance on room for movement and layers.

Check whether each value is a full circumference or a flat width. If the chart does not say what it measures, ask us before choosing a size.

Start With Your Body Measurements

Use a soft measuring tape in centimeters or inches, and compare in the same unit as the chart. Keep the tape close to the body, but not tight.

Bust: measure around the fullest part of your bust while wearing the bra or inner layer you plan to coordinate with.
Waist: measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually above the navel.
Shoulder width: measure from shoulder point to shoulder point across the back.
Sleeve length: compare with a blouse or dress sleeve that already fits you well.
Dress length: compare the listed garment length with a dress or skirt you already own.

How to Read Size Ranges

Shirring, lacing, elastic or adjustable straps may be described with a measurement range. Check whether it refers to the body or the garment. Do not assume that a garment’s maximum stretch is a recommended body measurement. Follow the product’s fit notes and allow room for movement and layers; there is no single allowance that suits every design.

If You Are Between Sizes

For fitted bodices, corset-style designs or non-stretch fabric, compare both sizes using the product’s fit notes. Do not choose by bust alone or assume a garment measurement is a body measurement.
For shirred or elastic-back dresses, check the stated body-size guidance or garment range and fit notes. Stretch alone does not show that the smaller size will fit comfortably.
For blouses and outerwear, check shoulder width and sleeve fit carefully, not only bust.
For skirts, waist fit matters most. Check whether the waistband is fixed, elastic, or adjustable.

CM and IN

Many Lolita size charts are written in centimeters. If inches are shown, they are usually converted from centimeters, so small rounding differences can happen.

Petticoat Fit Notes

A petticoat changes the final shape of a Lolita coordinate. Some product pages include a recommended petticoat length or shape. When a product-specific recommendation is not shown, choose based on skirt length and silhouette.

Daily JSK / OP: often works with a moderate-volume petticoat.
Classic or tea-length dresses: usually need enough volume to support the skirt without making the hem too short.
Hime, wedding, princess, and big-skirt styles: often need stronger volume for the intended look.
Skirts: check the skirt length and waistband first, then match the petticoat length.
